DMOZ is the largest, human-edited directory of the internet. The directory is built and maintained by volunteer editors that create quality content.
DMOZ is the only major directory that still offers it's services free of charge. There's no charge for others to use and learn from the directory which means that submitting a new website to the DMOZ directory is also free of cost.
Did you know that DMOZ stands for Directory Mozilla. Sound familiar? This name comes from Netscape's Mozilla project, the very best open source browser by far.
