AVG Virus Scanner: Free Edition

Having trouble finding a free, quality virus scanner for your desktop computer? Here is a free program that is a free virus scanner that I've used for sometime now with great results. I'm adding this entry to these forums because I believe that it is an important tool that many can benefit from using. It is nice to know that one doesn't have to spend $30 or $40 to own a good virus scanner that automatically updates daily.

This completely free program will scan your computer for nasty intruders that we call a "virus".

Grisoft, makers of AVG never try to sell you a full version, which I respect. They do have a full version, which allows a network to be scanned from one computer, which is probably targeted for business networks. Like I said though, you never get pressured to buy.
