Secret trick in XP - custom time display

Check out this super easy trick which allows you to create a custom time display on your Windows desktop taskbar. Before you continue you should probably know that this for sure works in Windows XP, but has not been tested in any other operating system.

Follow these steps and pictures to customize the look of your status bar clock in Windows XP. For the most fun from this trick, try it on a friend's computer and let them discover it for themselves.

    1. Open up your control panel

    2. Find and open up "Regional and Languages Options"

    3. Follow the steps outlined in the following pictures

See how easy that was. Like it says in the picture, it's your choice if you want to leave the default AM/PM in place which will give you 10 characters. Removing the AM/PM will allow you to add a total of 13 characters.

This simple trick will not harm or mess up your computer in any way. If you are going to be playing a practical joke on a friends computer try to remember that he or she might not be the only ones that use that computer so don't get yourself in trouble.

    Thanks for reading!

Hey I stumbled upon this website (actually the thread about the pinball "cheat codes") and decided to browse around.

I thought this was interesting and thought I'd let you know this definitely works in Windows Vista (ultimate if it matters)

I'll probably be lurking around the forum some more too.
