The following question was sent to me by email from a girl in Las Vegas, Nevada...
Austin,
Please tell me if I am on the right track.
First: The Problem
I am trying to install a program called "Mobile Phone Tools" ~ the installation wizard starts doing it's thing and then I get a Windows error when the installation begins...Centrino Mobile Technology is not found on computer. The the installation is canceled.
I want to know how I can load this Centrino Mobile Technology onto my computer. I am finding tons of info on this type of technology for notebooks but not on a desktop PC. Is there a difference in the software download that I need to use to install on my PC?
I went online to Intel and found this info on chipsets. Am I on the right track or am I looking at the wrong help files? Please check this out and tell me if I am on the right track.
notebook support
The good news is that I did find torrents for the mobile phone tools but I don't think that they will do me any good until I get this Centrino shit on my PC.
I appreciate your help!
You should know that Mobile Centrino is Intel's first wireless (mobile) technology designed specifically for use in laptops. The technology was designed for mobile computers or laptops. This file will not work on your desktop.
If a computer could spit out a file back at the user then it would've done that to you while saying "oh please".
What is it that you are trying to accomplish on your desktop PC? Maybe I could help you a little better if we just start there.
