Do you want to be able to share your videos with friends, family, and perfect strangers. Well you can with the video sharing website Youtube. Here's how to do it.
Steps
- Go to the website 'www.Youtube.com'
- Create an account if you have not already have one. Or go onto the next step if you already have an account.
- Log into your account.
- Click the yellow "Upload" button on the top right-hand side of the homepage.
- Enter the details required, the title of the video, the description of the video, what category the video should be in and the tags. Optionally, you can fill in the 'Broadcast Options', the 'Date and Map Options' and the 'Sharing Options'.
- Click "Continue".
- Choose a video file. Remember only certain video formats can be uploaded to Youtube so make sure you have the right type of file.
- Finally click "Upload Video" and wait for your video to complete processing.
Tips
- If you are going to upload a video from Windows Movie maker, make sure you've saved it as a movie file and not just pressed "save as". Only then will it be available to you, when uploading on YouTube.
Warnings
- Do not upload copyrighted material.
- Youtube only allows a maximum of 10 minutes per video. It also doesn't allow more than 100 mbs per video.
- YouTube accepts AVI, MPEG video, no WMV, MP4 or MOV video, when you have problem about the video format, you need a video converter to convert your video to the right format for YouTube. For windows system user, you can use Aimersoft Video Converter to do that. For Mac OS X user, you can use iSquint to convert video.
- It usually takes a long time to upload videos, be prepared to sit around for a while.
